Immersive H2S safety training simulation for ExxonMobil, designed to improve real-time decision-making in high-risk scenarios across desktop and VR platforms.

Pixela Labs developed an interactive H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) simulation for ExxonMobil, combining elements of professional training and real-time scenario testing. The application enables users to experience hazardous field situations in a controlled virtual environment, reinforcing correct responses and safety protocols through immersive learning.

Background

H2S exposure is one of the most dangerous risks in oil & gas operations. Traditional training methods often lack realism and engagement.
The goal of this project was to create a behavior-driven training tool that allows users to actively respond to simulated emergencies — improving knowledge retention and decision-making under pressure.
The solution was delivered in two formats: desktop and fully immersive VR.
